Quick answer: Give a free AI tool the facts once (the product, price, dates and your store details) and ask it for three versions at the same time: a Facebook post, a Facebook Marketplace listing and a Google Business Profile post. Then edit, add your own photos, and schedule them. Google's Business Profile lets you schedule posts and set them to repeat, at no cost.
Writing three posts for three places every week is the job that slides to "next week." Write once, let AI reformat, and bring your own facts and photos.
Try it in 30 minutes
Pick one real thing to promote this week: a floor model, a clearance item, a scratch-and-dent unit, a new arrival or a sale weekend. (3 min)
Take 3 photos in good light on the floor or in a room setting. (7 min)
Run the prompt below. (5 min)
Edit and post: the Facebook post on your Page, the Google post from your Business Profile, and the Marketplace listing if it fits Meta's rules (see the watch-outs). (15 min)
What to measure (over the next 7 days): - Messages and calls that mention the item. Ask "Where did you see it?" and tally the answers. - Google Business Profile post views and clicks in your profile's performance view. - Did the item sell, and how many days did it take? Compare with similar items you didn't post.
The one-prompt, three-post template
You write local marketing for [Store], an independent [type] store in [town, province/state].
Voice: friendly, plain-spoken, small-town, no all-caps, no more than one emoji per post.
Canadian spelling.
The facts (use only these):
- Item or promo: [e.g. floor-model sectional, grey, 112" wide]
- Price and dates: [e.g. $1,499, this week only, while it lasts]
- Condition: [new / floor model / small scratch on back panel]
- What's included: [delivery within 30 km, haul-away, installation, warranty as stated by the maker]
- How to buy: [call, message us, visit at address, hours]
Write three versions:
1. FACEBOOK PAGE POST: under 80 words. Open with the benefit to a local family, then the facts,
then one clear next step.
2. MARKETPLACE LISTING: a title under 60 characters with the item, size or model and condition;
then a description of 60–100 words with measurements, condition (be honest about flaws),
pickup/delivery details and hours.
3. GOOGLE BUSINESS PROFILE POST: under 900 characters. Say what, when, and one reason to visit
in person. Don't include a phone number in the text (Google may reject posts with numbers
it can't verify). Suggest a button: "Call", "Learn more" or "Get offer".
Don't invent features, savings, warranty terms or "regular" prices.
Why that last line? In Canada, a "was $2,499, now $1,499" claim has to reflect a price you actually sold at or offered in good faith for a substantial time (Competition Bureau). Let the AI write words, not price comparisons.
Google Business Profile posts: the free part most stores skip
Your Google Business Profile shows posts on Search and Maps. Google offers three types: Updates, Offers (title and dates required, with a "View offer" button) and Events. You can schedule a post and make it repeat weekly or monthly. Posts older than 6 months are archived unless they have a date range (Google).
A simple rhythm: - Monday: one Update (new arrival, staff tip, delivery-day photo). - Thursday: one Offer with real dates for the weekend. - Repeat: a monthly "What to know before your delivery or installation" post with a "Learn more" button pointing to your delivery page.
Google also says to keep posts professional and avoid "auto-generated or distracting content" (Google). That's one more reason to edit every AI draft and use your own photos.
Tool options (checked Oct 20, 2026)

Watch-outs
Marketplace rules apply to you too. Meta says every listing must follow its Commerce Policies, which bar items such as recalled products and misleading or deceptive items (Meta). Check Meta's current rules for business sellers before listing store stock.
FAQ
How often should a local store post on Google Business Profile? There's no official number. Once or twice a week is a realistic, steady rhythm for a small team, and scheduling makes it stick.
Can AI write Facebook ads too? Yes. Ask the same prompt for "3 ad headlines under 40 characters and 2 primary texts under 125 characters." Check your ad platform's current limits and rules before you spend.
Should I use AI images of my products? Use real photos of the real item. Shoppers and platforms both expect the listing to show what they'll get.
